Caigua or Cyclanthera pedata: is a South American plant native to Peru and Bolivia. Caigua today also grows in Central America but it is also possible to find it in India and Nepal. It belongs to the cucurbit family and gives rise to a fruit, more precisely a vegetable, which looks like a small elongated pumpkin, green in color, with few seeds.
