The common horehound (scientific name Marrubium vulgare L.) is a small herbaceous perennial plant with labiati flowers belonging to the Lamiaceae family.
Horehound is a plant used to heal various symptoms. In particular, it is used to treat coughs and all benign bronchial infections, especially chronic ones.
In fact, the horehound has balsamic properties, which can create relief for lung diseases, especially those characterized by catarrhal events. Horehound is in fact a powerful mucolytic and sedative.
